I’m not sure what happened but mine came out more like a soup and I only used 3 cups of broth.
It was still delicious and if I could do that again I would.
However, there is no way this is 5 minutes of prep time and ready in 30! I’m disappointed that it took well over an hour and was nothing like the picture.
It gets 4 stars because the broth was so flavorful.
Hi Tracy, while we recommend keeping it covered and reducing the heat to medium, yours might need to be increased a little higher or remove the cover in order to make sure this isn’t soupy. Hope this helps!
This chicken and orzo was quick, easy and delicious! Everything that is needed for a weeknight dinner! Even my picky son cleaned his bowl. I love how the carbs, protein, and veggies are all in one dish!
This is a great one-pot meal, and it seems a little fancier than many we’ve tried. It’s simple to make, healthy, and is full of flavor. Definitely a keeper! (My picture is pretty awful, so don’t let that turn you away from this recipe! The little green flecks are finely chopped spinach, did for preference for those who didn’t like spinach so they wouldn’t even notice it.)
The flavors in this dish are outstanding! It took me longer than 30 minutes but it was worth it, and I will definitely be making it again and again!! I made roasted carrots as a side because I wanted more veggies and was stuffed! I might make it 5 or 6 servings next time. Thank you for so many fabulous recipes!!
Really easy and delicious recipe! I added a bag of peas and enjoyed the added flavor. Next time I would start with 3 cups of broth and add more as needed. But, the whole family enjoyed this one.
I am definitely going to make this recipe again. I really liked how creamy and very flavorful it was. Well seasoned chicken. I cut the grape tomatoes in half and like how it turned out. Don’t think I’d change a thing. Yummy.
I made this a couple of weeks ago. Love this dish and my husband loved it too! When I try new recipes I always ask, is this a keeper. We both agreed it is. It is filling and is kind of like a comfort food without the guilt.
I will say, it took me a little longer and I do try to prep and have everything ready. But you are a professional so 30 minutes for you may be a bit longer for me but not a deal changer.
I didn’t make any changes as this recipe is excellent as written. I would consider maybe next time roasting the tomatoes to see how I like it added. But a perfect recipe.
I really enjoy your recipes and I have made several and pin a lot of your recipes. All except one was a home run. Which is okay, because sometimes it just doesn’t suit ones palette. I think that says a lot because with all the recipes out there, to know that there is someone you follow that you will be happy with the end result and can trust you didn’t waste your time, is comforting. Also you answer questions, if someone has one.
This has become a go to recipe for me! I love a delicious and healthy one pan meal. The only thing that I altered was that I used sundried tomatoes instead of cherry tomatoes and substituted parmesan with feta. I loie this meal!
My entire family loves this and it will be made again! Orzo is always a hit with us. The Italian seasoning, Parmesan cheese and cherry tomatoes added so much to the flavor.
This recipe was excellent and I shared with the neighbors and they loved it as well and wanted the recipe as well! Erin keep it up and thanks for everything
