I’m sorry to hear that, Carol. I know it can be so disappointing to try a new recipe and it does not turn out for you. It has worked well for myself (and others) and I wished it would have been a hit for you too.
I’m sorry to hear the recipe wasn’t to your taste, Erin. I know it’s disappointing to try a new recipe and not enjoy it, but I understand we all have different tastes. I (and many other readers) have enjoyed it, so I really wish they would’ve been a hit for you too!
Glad you enjoyed the marinade, Lola. I’d make sure to continue to bake the chicken until it reaches the correct internal temperature. All ovens are different and mine might just run hotter than others. Hope you could still enjoy it!
Hi!
I have made this receipe many times and my company always asks for the recipe! I happen to just have chicken breast in house and debating if I should go get the thighs? Thoughts on this marinade with chicken breast?!
Hi Mick, you can definitely experiment with increasing the amount of soy sauce, but it will increase the amount of sodium in the recipe as well. Hope this helps!
I never leave reviews but I just had to say my whole family enjoyed this marinade! I was looking for something different and was intrigued by the cumin, honey, lime combo – and it turned out great. Even my picky 10 year old asked for more. We did use skin-on, bone-in thighs and grilled it, which I believe made it taste better than baking. Thank you for this recipe.
Followed the recipe to the point, but didnt like the outcome. I baked it, maybe grilled would make a huge difference.

Delish n so easy!!
Thanks Tammy!
Good marinade flavor. But I didn’t care for the baked result. Will try air frying next time.
Thanks for the feedback, Michelle!
My husband doesn’t like cumin is there something I can replace it with
Hi Wendy, you could just leave it out or maybe try using paprika. Hope this helps!
Excellent recipe. I was a bit wary about the Worcestershire sauce but it turned out amazing. Thank you!!
So glad to hear, MO!
Can you make thismarinade ahead of time and keep it in the fridge?
Hi Debbie! Yes! Up to 1 day in advance, stir the marinade ingredients together. Refrigerate until you’re ready to add the chicken thighs.
It was so so good. I truly enjoyed the flavor. Plus it was very easy and simple to make. Thanks for sharing
Thank you Irina!
The cumin was a bad choice.

Outcome of marinating the chicken was good but the cooking time was wrong since it can out undercooked when I baked it for the suggested time.

Made this last night. Really, really good. Definite keeper, and now you have a new follower. 🙂
So glad to hear, Cayce! Thank you!
Baked at 425 until nearly done, then flipped them and put under broiler a couple minutes to finish. Excellent!
Thanks Herb!
We grilled this last night, delicious! Placed the thighs in the marinade for about 8 hours. Flavorful and tender chicken, we enjoyed it. Thanks Erin!!
So glad to hear, Beth! Thank you!
