    By far, my most favorite comfort food is your recipe for the chicken pot pie! Hands down, the best! I never thought when I tried a chicken pot pie while in San Diego, I never ever thought I would find a pot pie comparable, the Well-Plated recipe ( healthy at that)has made me a believer.

    My yearly CT scan showed osteoporosis and I was started on Reclast infusion two years ago. Last year after my oncologist said he would give me zometa instead. Then when I keep my appointment with the endocrinologist her told her to check with my oncologist. She didn’t. Instead she said what I do and what they do are two different things. After another infusion of reclast two later I was unable to walk. In my own research I found out they were the same.
    A year later I NOW in PT to learn to walk again and I am. I found Save the Bones which is based on alkaline diet and exercise. That opened a new door of insight. I use a lot of your recipes as is a lot of the time. I know you don’t follow any particular diet just healthy clean food 👍. I have never had chemo or radiation. It a very rare form. They for now can only cut the tumours out with surgery. A healthy diet an exercise and a 🙏ia all I have. Some of your recipes have become some of my favorites. Blueberry muffins, beef lo main and others. Again your four years of labor were not in vain. I see you were a ring. What a lucky guy.

A few months ago I was put on the heart transplant list but I was told that I needed to loose weight, well with the help of your lovely fish recipes and eating fresh salads I have lost over a stone in about 8wks. They’re delicious, easy to make with straight forward instructions and everyone who I’ve shared your recipes with loves them too! You have a growing fan base among my family and friends. I’ve shared many recipes off your website with friends from all over the world (we’ve been expats for 20 years and I taught cooking at a cooking school in Tokyo that has 13,000 students – imagine how far your recipes have spread!). But I won’t share any recipes from your book and tell them that they have to BUY Well Plated, so that YOU get the revenue you deserve. I just tantalise with beautiful pictures of amazing creations from your recipes. Lol I can quietly tell you that gets mixed responses. 😂

    Your recipe that I make most would be slow cooker pulled pork which I use for burgers, sliders at parties, baos w Asian slaw, quesadillas and tacos (in which case I Mex it up a tad). I try to always have some in the freezer for a quick delicious meal in a hurry (but it is SO difficult to keep the leftovers because they are simply far too delicious and we all scoff them). I’m with Ben and your sisters on the importance of BBQ in our lives. My youngest daughter was diagnosed with brain cancer aged 4 (not a sob story) so I became extra fussy about what we eat so that everyone has the best chance at a long and healthy life. My 3rd daughter is a very healthy eater, she ate Paleo for years and still eats mostly that way with a few modifications. If I am lucky enough to receive a signed copy I’ll post my book to her (because I will treasure the signed copy!) to start off a new fan base among her friends in New Zealand, where she is doing her Masters degree. She and her friends are avid foodies, like us. Your book, recipes, healthy way of eating for life and your joy should be spread far and wide! Thank you SO much! x

  150. I’d been making your recipes from your blog and online recipes for about a year. They were all good! So when your announcement about your cookbook came out, it was a no-brainer to advance order it. Covid provided an opportunity really dig into Well Plated. I have dozens of cookbooks filling my office shelves and most have been a source for at least one or 2 meals. So without opening a page, judst by doing your online recipes, I’d already passed the value of all the other cookbooks. In April my husband had a heart attack. My new mission is to provide him with as many yummy, mostly vegetarian meals. He often says, ” I can’t believe I am eating so many vegetarian meals and they taste delicious. He brags to his friends and praises me at every meal. He misses his beef, but loves that now he is not afraid to eat my (your) tasty meals. Thank you so much for all your hard work.
