• This and simple cooked rice is good to keep in the freezer for convenience. The picture of yours seems heavy on the veg but that is probably the Brown Rice confusing me.

This is efinitely a make for me as I already do it but I will probably make bigger batches. Thank you.5 stars

  • I made this tonight. I didn’t have edamame and used broccoli that I steamed first instead. Other than that, I followed the recipe exactly as written.  It was excellent . It’s the best fried rice I’ve had anywhere! Next time I will add pineapple. Thanks Erin, I loved it!5 stars

  • Excellent and easy recipe. I followed the recipe exactly and it was soooooo good. My husband had 3 helpings!!!! Thank you Erin. Seriously, you have the best recipes.5 stars

  • We have made your homemade fried rice twice and it is a winner! Second time we added some left over steamed cauliflower and broccoli. Dude! (or Dudette!) Amazing! Used the sauce to fry up some Tofu (I had never tried Tofu before) and added it on top of the rice really good stuff. The fried rice is even good cold (great midnight snack). We are trying to eat more along the Vegan style and this is our favorite so far. Thanks :) !5 stars

  • I am making your recipes tonight. I have been slow cooking your garlic honey chicken for hours and made rice this morning to cook enough for this recipe. Can’t wait for dinner!!!

  • You’ve gone it again! Made this for dinner tonight and everyone loved it. You are a master! (note for others who happen not to have oyster sauce. I used hoisin sauce and it worked out just fine!)5 stars

  • I’ve been running through healthy fried rice recipes for a while in search of something that holds up texturally and taste-wise. I have officially found it!!! This is the best healthy fried rice recipe I’ve found by a fair a large margin. My daughter gobbled it up – even with edamame in it! And my husband, who hates leftovers or anything out of the fridge, will always agree to eat this even if it’s been frozen! Love it. 5 stars

  • Loved this recipe. I have added pork tenderloin delicious. Tonight we are trying it with chicken.
Thanks for a great dinner.5 stars

  • I made the fried rice today and we loved it. We are in our eighties and there is enough for 2 more meals. I made honey garlic chicken with it. Yum  5 stars

  • This is a great recipe–add a dash of sesame oil right after you turn off the heat to take it to the next level!5 stars

    1. I’m so pleased that you enjoyed the recipe, Lisa! Thank you for sharing this kind review!

  • Girl you rock! That fried rice was off the chain!  I keep thinking about it and saying, “oh my goodness “, “oh my goodness???“5 stars

  • Love all the tips! I literally came to read your recipe in case you didn’t have that tip. My mom told me this growing up and it makes the fried rice – that and the scorching hot pan. In Chinese, fried rice is literally translated as “fried leftovers” and whenever we stir fry things, we want to taste the “heat” from the hot pan. Now I know its from the slight caramelization. 5 stars

  • Absolutely DELICIOUS. This is such a flexible dish too, you can literally mold it to whatever flavor profile you want. I used long grain brown jasmine rice. I added ham and pineapple. Next time I think I’ll do chicken or steak. Erin’s recipes are seriously OUT OF THIS WORLD, and if you care about calories at all, her nutrition info at the bottom is SO AMAZING. I wish I could give this more than 5 stars.5 stars

  • Erin!
My sister made this and has been raving about it! I really want to make this but I’m on a bit of a low-carb kick these days … Whats your thoughts on making this with cauliflower rice? Or (and this may be odd) Farro?

If not, I’ll suck it up and do brown rice because I know it will totally be worth itit, just thought I’d ask

  • The Homemade Fried Rice was awesome! I didn’t have any edamame so just used what was in my fridge – onion, celery, red peppers, peas, carrots. Even my husband ate it – and he’s so picky!5 stars

  • This was delicious! Loving the leftovers as well. We added chicken as my husband is a meat lover. Came together super quickly! Now I’m trying other recipes from your blog. Just found it and am excited for all the veggies but still delicious food!! Thank you!!5 stars

  • Another quick, healthy, delicious meal. I love to cook but time is tight on work days. This blog is my go-to lately. I added shrimp, tofu and smothered my bowl with sriracha. My boys went back for seconds. Well done, Erin!5 stars
