• I would like to make this, but the 26g are pretty high, especially for a type 2 diabetic.   I realize the recipe says for 2,  so I’m going to put more strawberries then mango and omit OJ & hope that helps.  But it sounds delicious.  Thank you.

    1. Hi Debra! Yes, the nutrition is for two smoothies, and it’s all natural sugars. I hope you enjoy it if you try it!

  • Yum! Going to make this for my son for a birthday surprise. Glad to find a recipe that is vegan. Can you add chia seeds or flax seeds to thicken like the oatmeal option? Just wondering =)5 stars

  • I made this smoothie, and it wasn’t at all what I was expecting. It just tasted like carrot, with a hint of mango. I added about 2 TB of honey to it, it desperately needed some sweetness (though that was most likely a result if the particular fruit I was using). As well as another half cup of mango, to cut the carrot flavor.

    1. Hi Alice, I’m sorry that this smoothie wasn’t to your tastes. I (and other readers) have found this smoothie to be sweet and delicious, so I truly wish it would’ve been a hit for you too!

      1. So tasty! I added some honey for a little more sweetness and didn’t include as much carrots, so not as healthy haha. But but the flavor is so good.??5 stars

          1. Me and my 7 yr old loved this smoothie. We put some in a bowl and topped it with granola. Tasty! Thanks for the recipe.5 stars

  • Wow what a great tutorial! I have been wanting to make smoothies, but have been too lazy. You have taken all the guess work out of it. You have provided great tips on pairing fruits and veg.
    Thank you!

  • I rarely comment on recipes but had to for this one. SOOO good! I added blueberries, raspberries and blackberries instead of strawberries because can’t have them and the taste was amazing! Thank you sooo much!5 stars

  • Ok, I have been making vegan smoothies for years and years and had gotten tired of my usual smoothies. Your recipe just made my day! I added 1/2 banana, used frozen limeade concentrate instead of lemon juice and sprinkled unsweetened coconut on top. It was DELICIOUS! It tasted like something fancy that would be served at a beachside restaurant. It’s 109 today in Sacramento, and this really hit the spot. I will keep making this, and keep trying new twists on it. Thank you! :)5 stars

  • Wow I had no idea that adding lemon juice to a smoothie would make it taste so good. I just made this and it looks exactly like the smoothie pictured. Tastes very refreshing. Thanks for this recipe.5 stars
