I’m currently making these bars and they have 8 minutes left until they’re done and my strawberries aren’t bubbling either….. I did double the crust recipe to make it thicker but I don’t believe that has anything to do with berries not bubbling….. I’m letting them cook a little longer to see what happens……. Fingers crossed!

I’ve made three batches so far, using our own thawed strawberries. I used slightly more berries than the recipe called for – enough to almost cover the bottom crust. Also used a tablespoon of juice from thawing in the icing, which thinned it a little and added a nice bit of color and strawberry flavor. I think they’re best the next day! I’m eyeing our stock of frozen rasperries and blueberries next…

I’m truly sorry for any inconvenience the ads caused you, John. I will certainly keep paying close attention to the number of ads and how they load, as I never want them to hinder your ability to view the recipe or the blog post. I do truly appreciate your feedback and apologize again for the inconvenience! Also, there is a quick and convenient “jump to recipe” button that will help you get to the recipe faster and a print butto

Was looking for a recipe to use up my strawberries, so glad I found this one they taste so good, like a fruit crumble in a bar. Will definitely be making again!

My family loves these. I leave out the granulated sugar and sometimes don’t add the drizzle and they still devour it.

Thanks Gail!
