Yum! I am eating this right now :). I usually make your overnight oat recipe from your cookbook, so I was sure I would like this one, and I was right. I used just 1t of brown sugar, and it is plenty sweet enough for me. Thank you!
These were delicious and kept me full for hours! So easy and quick to throw together, and the texture is spot on. I didn’t even need the sweetener with the protein powder I used.
This is my go-to overnight oats recipe. I know there are a lot of recipes out there but this one is perfect every.single.time. It’s the perfect proportion of every ingredient and then you can top it with whatever fruit you like! Highly recommend it.
I tried it as a post workout/recovery snack. The protein and carbs help with both of those goals and helps maintain energy levels for the rest of the day. Definitely will be a mainstay in my workout regiments. Thank you!
I am very eager to try this but I was wondering how much milk you add to it? I think I missed a step but I’d love to know the milk oats ratio when adding Greek yogurt and also when not adding it.
Hi Leanne, the milk is the second ingredient on the list in the recipe card. Also we haven’t tested this without the greek yogurt, so you’ll likely have to play around with the ratios if you don’t add it. Let us know how it goes!
I’ve made these over and over again. Follow the recipe exactly and add the toppings of my choice (usually blueberries and a bit of granola!) I regularly share this recipe with my weight loss patients as well!
I would like to know what you used to make it under 300 calories. I’ve added it up using the ingredients you suggested, and it comes out to be just over 350 calories.
Hi Mekaela, The nutritional information is not always completely accurate and can vary depending on ingredients and brands of ingredients used. When in doubt I would double check with a free source like myfitnesspal.com. I just ran it through another calculator and it come in under the amount. The toppings are not included. Hope this helps!
YUM! I was very skeptical of how my protein powder would taste but it’s delicious! I use the overnight oats recipe in your cookbook all the time – will be adding this protein one to the rotation!
Today, I used chocolate whey protein, added maple syrup for some sweetness, as well as a spoonful of pb!
Best protein oatmeal recipe!! I’ve been making overnight oats for awhile now and thought I had it down. Then I came across this recipe with greek yogurt and this is a GAME CHANGER. The proportions are perfect. The taste is good alone but super customizable. I find that a lot of recipes gear towards a vanilla or chocolate base, limiting what toppings you can add that go with it. Not this recipe!!!
Perfect overnight oats recipe. Great texture and can be mixed with so many ingredients in so many good ways. This is a great base recipe to save and use all the time. Thanks Erin!
*I used regular almond milk and vanilla greek yogurt
This recipe is delicious and so easy! A lot of overnight oats recipes are more carb-heavy, but not this one. Whisking the yogurt with the milk and protein powder is genius – this one is a keeper!
This is the best overnight oats recipe I’ve ever made! So creamy, and subtly sweet. I topped mine with fresh strawberries and chopped walnuts. I added 1 Tblsp of ground flaxseed and increased the milk to 1/3 cup to compensate for the flax soaking up extra liquid. I had given up on overnight oats after a slew of watery recipes that weren’t at all appetizing. As creamy as this is, I’m thinking a tiramisu-like version would be exceptional!
I think this would be great with PB powder too! Going to try it!
Enjoy!

Makes me so happy to hear, Kate! Thank you for this kind review!
It is so delicious!! And easy!! I didn’t have coconut sugar, so I substituted brown sugar. Thank you Erin!!
