  3. Hi Erin! Love these, been making a few of these for years! Our go-to (because I always have ingredients, and it directly benefits several health concerns) is a blender packed with spinach (4 loose cups maybe?), 2 frozen bananas, generous sprinkle cinnamon, 1 tablespoon+ hemp hearts, vanilla whey protein powder or whole milk Indian yogurt (or tofu+ vanilla extract) to one’s desired proportion, then blend with enough water to loosen and add a few ice cubes if you like it thinner or colder.
    It’s green but the banana&cinnamon kills the astringency of spinach and it’s just fresh and creamy. If you want it a touch sweeter, a drop of liquid stevia. Or manuka honey for its health benefits. Cheers to a new high power blender and good intentions!! Happy New Year!

    When you mention coconut milk, do you mean the kind in the can which is often added to curries, or the long life milk kind which is thinner?

    1. Hi Genevieve, you can use either. The canned kind will produce a thicker, richer smoothie, and the carton kind will be thinner. The carton kind typically has less fat than canned. I hope this helps!

  5. I’ve been making your smoothies 3-4 days of the week for a about 2 or 3 months now. I love the way you balance different flavors in your recipes. I’m curious because I noticed some smoothies in the picture just above that don’t have recipes, like one with pomegranate, a raspberry one, maybe a peanut butter cup one, and more? Are those your recipes as well?

I think the one you’re referring to with pomegranates is actually my Beet Smoothie, the peanut butter cup one may be my Oatmeal Smoothie or Starbucks Mocha Frappuccino Smoothie.
